Walking Progress Updates

Rather than add a new post every time I want to add new stats on walking, I decided to make a separate page that will contain graphs showing my progress walking.  If you look on the left navigation menu, you’ll see a new link for Walking Progress.  I’ll update the graphs on there at least once every few weeks, and at the top of the page will be the date on which the page was last updated.  And there’s been some decent improvement since the last time I posted the graph.  So check it!

1. You ROCK. Your ongoing recovery is INCREDIBLE. Inspiring, motivating, terrific.

2. Gorgeous graphs! Those aren’t garden variety Excel, are they? I want some.

3. Monday night I happened to be in San Francisco and heard about Quantified Self, which was meeting at Wired headquarters. I showed up and gave a 10 minute talk “The Quantified Patient,” which included how I tracked my lesions in Excel.

Dave –

1. Thanks :) Gotta do everything I can to get up and out of this chair for good, if it’s the last thing I do.
2. They’re not garden variety Excel, they’re garden variety Numbers.
3. That looks pretty sweet. I know for me, I’m so much more likely to push myself to make progress if I have a quantifiable metric to judge myself with. Quantified Self seems pretty interesting, applying to everything else in life.
